At the young age of 3, Blake knew he wanted to be in the arts.
At home in Atlanta, drawing, story-telling, and yearning to be “inside the (tv) box” became a daily ritual. Blake signed with an agent at 3 and, by age 5, he was enrolled in acting classes where his appreciation for the stage and love for the world of film and acting jumped on a non-stop train.
After establishing an impressive acting and modeling resume at 8 years old, Blake began writing and directing his own short films. Then, at 11, while signed to a three year stint with Cartoon Network as the host of my own block of cartoons, he jumped at the network’s offer for him to direct skits in his show.
When Blake was 13 he landed a lead role in the made-for-TV Disney Channel Original Movie, “Lemonade Mouth.” After that he wrote and directed a short film, “Anonymous” which debuted at teen film festivals in April 2011.
November of that year brought Blake the lead role in the Disney Channel show Dog With a Blog, which featured a talking dog and earned four Emmy nominations. And while still filming the show, Blake wrote, directed, and composed the music for another short film, “Notes of Hers”. It went on to play at a handful of festivals, and win the audience choice award at the Red Rock Film Festival in Utah.
